You can only hope that this cute doggo is able to smell and function just as well as before despite the surgery that changed his face and made him look different.

Long Whiskers on a Blind Cat
Old age is a hard thing to process, both for humans and for animals. Your body starts to betray you and there is little that you can do about it. This cute little cat turned around 11 years old and he sadly lost his eyesight. You would probably be able to guess and tell that just from looking at the photo of him. When you build a birdhouse to have in your yard, you most likely do not think that the bird house will be inhabited by a creature other than a bird. After all, the purpose of it is to be for birds. However, this grandma, named Maggie, realized that is not always the case. While occasionally a squirrel may take over a bird house, it is not very common for an opossum to take over.
Although opossums are usually pretty harmless and rarely ever rabid, there is probably hardly a person on earth who doesn't think that this is a pretty terrifying sight.
What Skunk Spray Can Do to a Dog
It is a lot of people's worst nightmare to get skunked and to have to deal with the horrendous smell that follows and lingers seemingly endlessly. It is almost worse if that happens to your dog. This person's dog got skunked and they tried the tomato trick to get the smell out. Instead of getting the smell out, they got a very terrifying looking dog that was now covered in red.
Her dog looks more like he is guilty of murder than just an innocent soul that got skunked. You can only hope that the tomato at least helped to get rid of the smell.

Almost all animals come in a hairless variety. There is a hairless dog and a hairless cat, but you probably did not know that there is also a hairless horse. You probably didn't know because they are quite rare and the world is happier that that is the case. The hairless horse, while beautiful if you are an admirer of muscle, is a pretty scary thing to witness and look at.

They do look a little bit too much like ground meat in a real creature form for many people's liking. They are cute but a bit scary at the same time.

When Your Phone's AI Thinks Your Married To Your Hamster
It can be pretty funny to look at the things that a phone puts together when you look at different photos. After all, it does its best to lump together the correct faces and places, but there are bound to be some times that it messes up. This person's phone thought that they were getting married to their hamster. Besides the one photo where she is kissing her hamster, there isn't really a reason to think that though.

The shedding of skin in the reptile world is no secret to most, however, it is usually not something that people see on their own. When Frog Meets Jellyfish
If someone were to tell you that this is a frog, a purple frog that was discovered by scientists in 2003, and that it was purely a frog, you may not believe it. While it does look more like a mix of a frog and a jellyfish or maybe even a slimy turtle, it is just a frog. It is also one of the few animals that is actually purple. It is also pretty terrifying to look at.
It is also probably the shiniest frog that you will ever see. Just look at the shine on the back of that baby. There is nothing quite like it, especially in the frog world.
A Centipede Taking Care of Her Eggs
Now this photo may not be for the light of heart, as centipedes are not most people's favorite creatures, however, if you look for just a short moment it will be hard to deny that this is a truly beautiful imagine. Just take a look at this mother watching over her little eggs. You can just tell that she wants to do everything in her power to make sure that they will be ok.
The colors here are also pretty extraordinary. The yellows and reds are so bright and even the orange on the tail area. It's quite impressive.

This scorpion is bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase "piggy back". When you think of giving someone a piggy back ride, it is usually just one person, as most people don't have the strength for more than that. This scorpion seems to have quite a few little babies on her back and she isn't even struggling at all. You have to give her the praise that is due for that!
Mothers are pretty amazing, whether they are mothers in the wild of the animal kingdom or human mothers in the human world.
Getting a Kiss From a Lamprey
If you haven't heard about a lamprey until today, consider this your lucky day. Your life will probably continue on like normal after learning about this creature, but you will be the wiser. The sea lamprey is also sometimes known as the vampire fish as they do tend to bite people who are swimming in the water. While their bite is not deadly, it can be painful and dangerous if not treated.
Luckily, they don't actively seek out humans to attack and it is pretty rare to actually be bitten by one of these big mouthed creatures. So you can put most of your ocean nightmares to rest for now.
