People use photography to express all kinds of things. Sometimes they want to get artistic, but sometimes, they just come across something tremendously weird and want to share it with the world. We've gathered the absolute weirdest and most unexpected photos the internet has to offer for you to enjoy - have you ever seen anything quite like them? We sure haven't!
Go Camping, They Said. It'll Be Fun They Said
Florida is known for its beautiful beaches, warm weather all year, and ALLIGATORS. In Florida, people don't ask where they can see alligators. Instead, they ask where they can’t see any alligators. There are 1.3 million American alligators in Florida, which is quite a lot. Take a look at the photo to get a sense of what camping in Florida looks like. How relaxing, huh? Imagine going to bed to the sound of crickets and waking up to something like this.
Imagine going camping and this happens! Better run away as fast as you can. Free advice: If someone is going to Florida for the first time and people tell them Not to set up the came too close to the water, listen to them!
Just Hanging Around
Some folks bring a glass of water into the bedroom with them. This way, if they get thirsty in the middle of the night, they won't have to walk back to the kitchen. This person woke up thirsty in the middle of the night, so naturally, he went straight for his glass of water. He was lucky that he turned on the lights before taking a sip, because this is what he found inside the glass.
This is definitely something they don't teach you about in school. Next time, better use a tightly-sealed bottle!
Luckily, She Didn’t Go Blind
Contact lenses are becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to glasses. For people with impaired vision, wearing lenses makes things easier. However, it does require that one follow recommendations such as not sleeping with the contacts in and cleaning them after each use. Wearing contacts overnight might actually damage the eye. So, we were scratching our heads when we saw this photo of 27 contact lenses discovered in a woman's eye by a doctor.
She told the surgeons that she couldn’t find her contacts when she tried to take them out, so she just put in new ones. It's disgusting, and also very unsafe.
A Crappy Breakup
Ever heard of any weird breakup? Hundreds of breakup horror stories can be found online, including angry ex-lovers destroying property, spreading rumors, and even attempting to ruin each other’s careers. This story, however, takes the cake (Or the toilet). The breakup did not go as planned. While her ex was packing his belongings to move out of her apartment, this girl fell asleep. She was surprised the very next morning to find that her boyfriend took the toilet with him, But was thoughtful enough to clean up after him.
For the most part, breakups are painful. It's always full of resentment and bad blood. Some couples manage to stay friends afterwards, but they're a rarity.
Futuristic Space-Saving Airplane Seats
This is Skyrider 3.0, a futuristic airplane seat design that was presented at the Paris Air Show. As you can see, the seats are designed in a way that passengers will almost be standing for the whole time in their flight. Traditional economy seats require up to 31 inches of legroom, whereas Skyrider only requires 23 inches, increasing seating capacity (or standing capacity). Airlines will be able to carry more passengers per trip this way.
Maybe economy class seats will be replaced by these! We really hope this won't be put to use, but maybe it will make short flights more affordable.
No, Duct Tape Doesn’t Fix Everything
We're confused about how the car owner could ever believe his vehicle is roadworthy. Well, duct tape can’t repair everything, and it really shouldn't be used to fix a car hood. It can work in certain cases, but not in this one. This really looks like an accident waiting to happen. Unless these people want to risk their lives on the road, they should really consider taking this to a professional.
People will always do crazy things, and maybe this gave them an adrenaline rush. We wouldn't want to risk it, though.
No Less Than A Prison
With the population in big cities expanding like crazy, apartments have grown both more expensive and less spacious. For example, a studio or one-bedroom apartment in New York costs so much that it is becoming close to impossible to get one. This place is the epitome of confined spaces. While preparing dinner, one can shower or relieve themselves. The 200-square-foot (18.5-sq. meter) apartment is in St. Louis’ tony Central West End, with the toilet, bathtub, oven, and sink all in one room. Comfy!
Why would anyone think to combine the kitchen and the bathroom? It’s not acceptable at all, and it’s unhygienic too.
Hi There Little Buddy
Alaska is a beautiful place to visit, especially if people prefer being out and about. Mountains and beaches are abundant in Alaska. After all, the state is larger than the enormous Texas. However, living in Alaska includes dealing with uninvited and unexpected visitors, such as this colossal polar bear. These tourists rented a cabin and discovered this fella as a surprise. Although the weather looks pleasant outside, we believe it is safer to stay indoors.
Polar bears are scary/ They can tear a person apart, as they are the only bear species that actively hunt humans. They can smell blood from miles away. Better be careful!
The Real Pennywise Found
One of the best horror novels of all time is Stephen King's "It," which introduced readers to Pennywise the clown. Many people developed a fear of clowns, known as coulrophobia, as a result of the novel's on-screen version. This clown was placed in the drain by someone who clearly had a twisted sense of humor. We just hope the maintenance workers who will one day fix this pipe have a sense of humor.
There are some truly evil geniuses out there! We'd be so mortified to find this, but we're sure some people would think it's hilarious.
Sinkhole Surprise
A sinkhole is a pit or hole in the ground that can appear suddenly or grow over time. They come in a variety of sizes and depths and are usually caused by a falling water table, rock collapse, or erosion. Some are caused by human activities, such as mining or excessive groundwater pumping. With a depth of 1,030 feet, Venezuela has the world's largest sandstone sinkhole. The sinkhole in the photo is 300 feet deep and leads down a medieval mineshaft in Cornwall, England.
Imagine waking up to something like that! What if someone slips into it? The end! Ancient souls might be trying to escape and probably haunting this neighborhood.
Brave Kitty, Don’t Open The Door
We have no idea where this house is located, but we'd say it's in Florida or Australia if we had to guess. Because both places have plenty of crocodiles and other creepy crawlies, it might be either of them. We feel uneasy when we look at this photo. Thank goodness there are ornamental bars on that door. Or it could easily break the glass. But what if the tiny kitty decides to let that beast in by opening the door? Is the cat an accomplice too? Is it possible that they're plotting to take over the house? Just thinking about it makes us want to scream out loud.
Imagine waking up at night from a deep sleep and unintentionally opening the door to this. Well, let’s appreciate the kitty’s confidence. We also want to be as calm as the little fellow while dealing with our life crisis.
Time To Burn The House Down
House flipping and home renovations have received a lot of media attention in recent years. Is there any profit in it? According to reports, the typical flip gave sellers a net profit of $67,000 and a more than 40% return, which isn't that bad. But what if you buy an abandoned home for renovation and find this creepy face in the basement bathroom? No money in the world will cure you from the truma.
We are wondering what’s the backstory is here. It gives us chills just thinking about it. Good luck going to sleep tonight!
Expect The Unexpected
When people think of mummies, they immediately think of those discovered in Egypt. However, we had no idea that mummification was also performed in other parts of the globe. Take a look at this Buddha sculpture that is over 1,000 years old. A CT scan shows the presence of a mummified monk within it. The organs of the monk had been removed and replaced with paper fragments. It's even more creepy: It is called Sokushinbutsu and refers to the practice of Buddhist monks observing asceticism to the point of death and entering mummification while alive.
Even crazier is the preparation these monks do beforehand. While they were still alive, they would start a diet that is meant to start self-mummification. It could take 10 years and is intended to reduce moisture and body fat so the body would not putrefy. They are called “Living Buddhas”.
Oh, Let Me Just Park My Squid
People are mistaken if they assume that a parking lot is just a boring place where one can only see cars. Things can get a little stranger sometimes, though. A Viking parliamentary site was discovered under a parking lot in Scotland in 2012, for example. After being sprayed with insecticide, another parking lot in Oregon became a mass graveyard for more than 20,000 bumblebees. And how about this parking lot with a giant squid parked comfortably?
Well, even squids know how to stay inside the lines when parking. We're dying to know what went on behind the scenes here!
No One Is Taking This Grandma's Purse
Robberies and muggings are two of the most prevalent crimes today. They aren't limited to dim-lit regions and remote alleys. These can occur on public transportation such as buses and trains. Though this grandmother will not tolerate that nonsense. One better be prepared to cope with her brass knuckles if they are going to steal her things. She's not going down without a fight, and she's not going to let anyone bully or threaten her into handing over her handbag. Nobody dares to mess with this badass Grandma.
The sad part is that she probably had to have something happen in the past that scared her enough to do this. Thieves often think of elderly folks as easy targets. She has just prepared herself against potential mugging. Go grandma!
Well Hello There
The bathroom is supposed to be a private space where we take care of our business. It can get a little loud at times, especially when a group of young girls is there, but people commonly walk in, do their business, and just go out! That's not the case in this picture. In this bathroom, there can’t be any peace. People who went inside to use it claimed that the bathroom was extremely noisy as if there were loud crickets. But guess what they got in the end? They finally opened the toilet paper holder and discovered a flock of little frogs. There were many so it had to be noisy!
Wondering how long they were staying there, maybe they traveled from drainage pipes to flush to the toilet roll and now they live there happily! Hoping they got shifted to a safe place.
It’s Bigger Than You Think
A hailstorm is a type of weather that can easily cause injury, especially if the hailstones are heavy. The faster hailstones fall, the larger they are. They frequently come before a tornado since the same conditions that cause them also produce tornadoes. This is a picture of hail from the weekend in Queensland, Australia. Hailstones of this size have the potential to cause serious injury and they can destroy windows, cars, fields, and whatnot! Take a good look at their size! If this is thrown at the automobile, it can cause a lot of damage.
Anything and everything can kill you in Australia. Imagine the amount of torque it packs on impact to your head after falling some 11,000 feet. People better be careful walking down the street in a hailstorm or they will knock their heads out!
A Zombie Spider
It turns out that not only humans but also spiders can turn into zombies. The half-dead, half-alive spider can crawl around. It was found in someone’s basement. What happened to this helpless spider! See how the spider's body is surrounded by white fur? It's a fungus that attacks them and gradually engulfs them. They can exist in a zombie-like state for some time as they can't move much nor die peacefully. On the other hand, the fungus gradually takes over their entire body, consumes their tissues, and eventually kills them.
The majority of people assumed the spider was simply covered in webs and killed by another spider of its species. We now know the reality. Well, thank goodness it was a spider, not a person who turned into a Zombie!
The Rich Plays Golf, No Matter What Happens
It’s understandable that if there’s a fire, people would be rushing to get their stuff and escape safely for their lives as soon as possible, especially if it was growing dangerously close to their location. These people, on the other hand, are not the same. They are aware that there is a fire, yet they want to play golf. They might want the fire just to destroy the forest as they have more urgent matters to attend to. This is the picture from Oregon fires next to a golf course. Fires can move fast if there's a strong wind. And Oregon is on the coast so it would be extremely dangerous.
Well, wouldn’t they be choking in the smoke? Probably, they don't get to play golf to their hearts' desire every day, so they want to make the most out of this opportunity. Safety doesn’t matter.
Poor Humpback
A humpback whale was found dead in the Amazon rainforest. Humpback whales are among the world's largest mammals. Their fins can grow up to 5 meters in length, making them the world's longest appendage. Their tails are similarly huge, reaching a length of up to 5.5 meters. They are aquatic species that belong in the water, not land. We had never seen a humpback whale on land until we saw this picture. What exactly is this beast doing in the Amazon jungle? It is, without a doubt, one of the strangest things on the planet.
Wondering how it got there as the Amazon is not close to the ocean. Maybe, it’s in the far east (the river and the forest both end in/at the Atlantic Ocean), so perhaps a storm with high waves brought the whale there!
That's Why Python Language Was In The Requirements
Working in IT entails ensuring that all of the equipment in the workplace functions properly. You'll also need to troubleshoot a variety of issues, such as being unable to log in to email or the keyboard not working properly. Sometimes, working in IT can be boring, but this IT guy is having a fantastic day at the office. There were some connectivity troubles, and when he investigated what had gone wrong, he was astonished to discover a writhing snake wrapped around the wires in the main circuit. However, he didn’t sign up for this for sure!
Imagine having a typical first day at a job and then this is what one has to deal with! Well, if the snake has the right certifications, then we don´t mind who fixes the office telco cables!
Side Effects Of Pandemic
These times are weird in so many ways because this pandemic has brought out the odd in everyone. People were fighting over toilet paper, eggs, and noodles, but there were also a bunch of strangers out doing grocery shopping wearing mesh masks that did not protect at all. Well, if someone thinks mesh or transparent masks are weird, they haven’t seen this one yet! When heading out to buy something, this guy felt it would be good to use toilet paper instead of a mask! At least now we know where all the toilet paper went. Seems like a friendly Tusken Raider out for shopping.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, things have gotten worse. People have tried many funny ways to cope with the pandemic, but this one is hilarious.
Way Beyond Your Imagination
Tornadoes are funnel-shaped clouds that extend from the thunderstorm down to the earth. They may be extremely damaging, as anyone who has watched the movie Twister will agree. Whatever comes in the way of tornadoes may expect significant destruction. This entire house was torn from its base and thrown into the middle of the road on Georgia Highway due to a destructive tornado. Or severe stormy weather blows out that entire house. This is a fantastic example of how powerful a tornado can be, and it should not be underestimated.
When we hear the song "Our house, in the middle of the street," we’ll now definitely understand its meaning. Fortunately, there was no one inside the house, so no injuries were reported.
What Better Can You Expect?
Calcium accumulation, often known as limescale, is a problem in water pipes. Although calcium buildup can be treated by dissolving it with acids, there are a few instances where an excessive amount of calcium can create serious difficulties. The picture depicts a severe incidence of calcium deposition. It's probably calcium carbonate, not calcium. Take a look at how thick that limescale is. This can easily lead to clogging issues and may cause the water supply to slow down in the house or nearby residence.
Well, they have got a free decoration piece for their house, just shape it a little bit and put some flowers in it, it's good to go!
This Looks Like Bad News
Some bosses are extremely caring and concerned about their employees' well-being. On the other hand, others can be so cheap that they don't give a damn. This boss belongs to the latter group and that is indeed disappointing! Isn't there a significant issue with that pole? This looks bad. Criminally negligent sort of bad. See how it’s shifted off to the left from its base. The structure is already deflecting. The girder, this column used to support, is going to give up at some point, probably under a heavy snow load and when that happens, the structural bays on either side of it will come down with it. Other girders could then fail due to the dynamic forces imposed by the local failure in a catastrophic progressive collapse!
Well, according to the boss, it doesn’t need to be fixed. So what does he expect to happen? That the pole will remain upright with that base? This is like waiting for a disaster to happen!
Trees Get Cold Too
Has anyone ever seen a tree dressed in crochet? That's what the photo depicts: Crochet for trees in Morgantown, West Virginia, USA. At first glance, the trees appear to have been spray-painted, but closer inspection reveals yarn bobbing. It is a style of graffiti or street art that uses brightly colored knitted or crocheted yarn or fiber. So why do they feel the need to do so? In the winter, trees do not become cold, and this can be a harmful activity for trees. The yarn will cut away from the surface over time and may even rot. It can also limit access and the tree will be enforced with potentially harmful materials inside.
This practice aimed to take knitting from something that was viewed as merely for creating clothes to something that could add meaning and color to urban locations. It's not like standard graffiti where the point is just to mark the territory.
Largest Flying Animal
Can anyone think of what life must have been like back when dinosaurs roamed the earth? Every day has to be a struggle to stay alive. You never know when you'll be eaten by dinosaurs or crushed to death by being stepped on. Take a look at that bird right there to see how small we are in comparison to them. That's the pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus Northropi, which is a mouthful of a name. It may reach a height of 16 feet and a weight of 250 kilograms, making it almost three times the size of an average human. The Quetzalcoatlus northropi lived on Earth for more than 67 million years ago.
The wingspan of these giants ranged from 2 to 11 meters (6.5 to 36 feet) which makes them the largest known flying reptiles.
Ambitious Little Flytrap
The Venus flytrap is a unique species of plant. It is a carnivorous plant that feeds on insects, unlike other plants. It's more of a live death trap for flying insects than a plant. For hundreds of years, the alien-like plant has been a source of myths and wonders. When they catch prey, their digestion is slow, and larger insects might take up to a week to digest. The Venus flytrap on this guy's desk isn't getting any bigger, but it's getting a lot of mouths. Can we count or get an idea of how many there are?
Well, that’s scary and creepy too. Glad that they are not powerful enough to hurt a human. What will happen if someone puts a finger in their mouth? Flytraps cannot “eat a human finger” as it’s way too large and hard to digest.
Peekaboo, Eye See You
Studies have shown that being near water makes us joyful. So, it's no surprise that we feel lighter and happier when we're at the beach. People will never be bored because there's so much to do. Anyone can play beach volleyball, go swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, or collect stones at the beach. This guy was probably looking through the sand for something to take home when he came across this glass eye embedded in the rock, which almost gave him a heart attack. He would have left before it just blinked!
That creepy stuff would make anyone run out as fast as they can. Wondering how it came here and where are the rest of the body parts? Maybe, embedded somewhere else, anyone wants to find them?
Bet It's Still Working
Remember the ancient and first cell phones from the early 2000s, before iPhones and Samsung completely flooded the world? Nokia was one of the most popular phone brands at the time, but they didn't have cameras and couldn't play music. Nokia phones used to be thicker and heavier than today's smartphones. Anyone could smack someone in the head with it if they tried to steal them, and they'd pass out. But we're more interested in what it's doing cemented in the wall. People might enjoy free phone service in that place, or it can be used just for emergency calls! We are pretty sure that it still has some battery in it.
We are still wondering how it ends up there? Maybe the one who was doing the construction lost it somewhere and then it got cemented forever!
No Filter Needed
Wildfires may be extremely dangerous to both wildlife and humans. There were more than 50,000 wildfires around the world in 2019. Flames scorched over 4 million acres during the same year, causing terrible losses. Lightning strikes and other weather conditions ignite many wildfires, but humans are responsible for roughly 90% of wildfires in the United States. A wildfire in Australia is seen in the image, also called the “Bush fire”. No, there's no need for a filter as it’s the scarlet hue due to the fire that changed the sky and the whole surrounding into a crimson shade. We can think about the billions of animals that died in the fires.
Well, climate changes are very much visible now, ultimately increasing global warming. So we wish we could control it soon; otherwise, it can cause devastating effects.
We Can Smell Something Fishy
Doctors and nurses can tell us about some strange instances they've encountered. For example, a man from China arrived with a 20-foot tapeworm after swallowing raw meat. A fishbone was trapped in another man's eye, so he went to the hospital to remove it. What we see in this picture is another medical oddity to be recorded throughout history. This man went to the doctor with his new on-set seizures. CT scan reveals little metal pellets in his head. When asked how he got shot, he said his wife accidentally shot him while chasing a raccoon off their property. This is starting to smell fishy. He should divorce his wife as soon as possible.
Wondering whether his wife was aiming for a raccoon or something else? After watching this we just hope that the raccoon was alright!
Banana-Duck On The Go
Public parks are places where one can relax, sit back, watch other people, and possibly keep an eye on their children while they play with other children. Some parks are well-designed, while others are just bizarre. But most of the people do like weird stuff. Some crazy things are needed to spice up the boring life. The sculptures in this Algerian park are quite interesting. Take a look at this banana, which transforms into a duck from the waist up. It does attract kids and even adults as well. Everyone would like to take a picture with it! Looks like Eric Wimp has got himself a sidekick!
Wondering what has made them design this? What’s the link between a banana and a duck! Or they have just made these for people to see and have fun. They are common in Algerian public parks and children’s playgrounds.
Novel Way Of Testing Your Eyesight
The poor boy must be afraid after watching this as her girlfriend sent him this murderous clown. Maybe her girlfriend wanted to scare him or wanted to punish him! Well, if anyone ever meets a fun-loving girl who loves surprises, horror movies, true-crime documentaries and who doesn’t nag or doesn’t need you to update her of your whereabouts constantly, one should better keep her. She’s a one-in-a-million catch. They say laughter is the best medicine. So, maybe the hospital has appointed this clown, actually a laughing clown to cheer up the patients and bring a smile to their faces. Or perhaps that’s the reason why people are scared of doctors.
Well, we would definitely want to appreciate the good sense of humor of the doctor, but we should definitely want to cancel our appointment as well!
The Silver Men
What would we do if we came across something like this? Is it possible that a truck carrying silver paint overturned on the road ahead, leaving pedestrians looking like this? What have the kids been up to? Is there a camera nearby, and is it being used for a prank? There are so many questions, yet so few answers. It's still not Halloween, and even if it is, what are the kids dressed up as? We can't think of any well-known figures who look like this. There's nothing that comes to our mind after watching them all painted and running across the roads.
As we know, beggars have been around us for a long time, and Indonesia is no exception, but a new type of beggars was seen in the Southeast Asian country. They seemed to be inspired by street performers who transformed themselves into living statues by applying metallic paint to their bodies. Beggars adopted the appearance because it helps them stick out, increasing the likelihood of others giving them money.
Half The Size Of A Football Pitch
Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong is one of the world's most well-known densely inhabited areas. The population density is 43,033 people per square kilometer. Considering how packed the place must be, and how difficult it must be to take the elevator during rush hour. This is the picture of another densely populated island Migingo on Lake Victoria. It has a population of around 500 people (which mostly includes fishermen and traders) living on only 0.0008 square miles of what appears to be dirt. The island seems to have a little to offer and the locals must be making the best of what they have.
Wondering how people would be living in such a small place as it’s just a 2,000-square-meter island. However, living on such a tiny island must be hard.
Something Never Seen Before
Some people want to be more creative with their automobiles, so they opt for custom paint jobs and other modifications to their cars. We don't see car owners who customize their exhausts very often. That's strange, isn't it? We haven't seen a car like this yet! Well, this isn’t a joke or something. The car in the photo shows a lifted star-shaped exhaust, unlike other exhausts. What's the story behind that? Is it even legal to do that? We believe that could be extremely dangerous. And it seems like this exhaust is not even functional while being placed in such a crappy way.
Perhaps, they just want to divert the car’s smoke’s direction upwards. Otherwise, it normally would come right on our face while driving. However, it’s the ugliest car modification.
Funky Ride For Kids
Playgrounds are exciting places for children of all ages. They get to exercise, play with other kids, and improve their social skills at the same time. Playgrounds, on the other hand, can be dangerous too. If children are not properly monitored, they may get injured. According to a 2017 survey, more than 300,000 children have been injured while playing on slides. This is a slide that we will not allow our children to approach. It not only appears to be unsafe, but it also seems quite strange. Just thinking who designed this ride in that way?
On the other hand, it does look fascinating for kids to try as the kid and mama bear are playing together on this ride. Kids can even enjoy it by just watching it from afar.
Roomba Did An Amazing Job
Having a vacuum cleaner makes life a lot easier. It also lessens the time it takes to clean the house while simultaneously reducing the effort required. Many people would still be worrying about cleaning if the vacuum cleaner hadn't been invented. Many people usually have a Roomba for cleaning, which is one of the most popular autonomous robotic vacuum cleaners on the market today. The homeowner was surprised when one day her Roomba suddenly stopped working.
On opening it, the results were shocking as a small snake was stuck inside it, which was affecting its functioning. Wondering how he ends up there! Or maybe it’s better it got caught by Roomba or it would have harmed someone in the house.
Fiat Was Ahead Of The Competition
The majority of people are unaware that Fiat is an abbreviation, and it actually stands for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, when translated from Italian, it sounds like "Italian Automobile Factory of Turino". The company was founded in Italy in 1899, so they've been around for a long time. Fiat developed defense aircraft in addition to automobiles. Apart from making cars, the company also produces diesel engines for other car manufacturers. Fiat was far ahead of the competition, as evidenced by their factory rooftop having a test track in 1929. Fiat is the largest automobile manufacturer in Italy even now.
Well, the old Fiat Factory was recently renovated by architect Renzo Piano. The original test track still exists on the roof and is open to the public.
